Tell us about a great beach in France – you could win a holiday voucher

With a coastline that is spectacularly varied, France has some of the most glorious beaches in Europe. From the Côte d’Opale on the English Channel to the Atlantic Côte d’Argent, with its miles of unbroken sandy beaches and the chic Mediterranean Riviera, France boasts some of the most beautiful shorelines in Europe – and the odd lovely bar and cafe to enjoy, too.

Tell us about your favourite beaches to lay down your towel whether it is a sheltered cove, a secluded slice of sand accessible only after a hike or somewhere where you can soak up some sunshine on a deckchair.

If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by travel expert Tom Hall, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Sawday’s property – the company has more than 3,000 in the UK and Europe. The best tips will appear on the Guardian Travel website, and maybe in the paper, too.
