The VTL will operate flights between Changi Airport in Singapore and Incheon International Airport in South Korea, officials said.

Singapore transportation officials said they’re converting all six flights between Singapore and South Korea into VTLs. Singapore already operates such lanes to Germany and Brunei.

The agreement was announced Friday by Singapore transportation minister S. Iswaran and South Korean transport minister Noh Hyeong Ouk.

“This is another milestone as we re-open Singapore’s borders, and resume air travel in a careful and calibrated manner,” Iswaran said, according to CNBC.

Singapore is said to be working with officials to open a VTL to the United States.

About 83% of Singapore’s population is fully vaccinated and South Korea expects that it will reach 80% by the end of October. The two countries long contributed to each other’s tourism industries.
